Social Events.
The spacious and
extremely comfortable lounge bar is the social focal point of the club.
It is open to
members and their guests every evening and weekend.
Additionally the upstairs
function room can seat over seventy guests and is a very pleasant venue
for events such as birthday parties, wedding receptions, or, just a group
wanting to have an enjoyable evening. Catering for food at reasonable
prices is available by arrangement.
The lounge bar is
where we tend to gather for a chat. and it is
also used by card clubs (bridge, whist etc.,). There is a pool table,
and, in the Childrens Games Room there is a dartboard. The Club Pool team
plays home matches here every other Tuesday during the season.
A large screen TV
has been installed and is used to watch such programmes as the Six
Nations Rugby matches, and any other programmes that attracts
sufficient interest. The atmosphere during the showing of Six Nations
Rugby matches is only surpassed by actually being at the ground.
Club Steward Mike
Thomas and his part-time staff are able to serve a range of beers,
lagers, wines and spirits at reasonable prices. From time to time hot
meals are available, such as after dinghy sailing. At the time of writing
Sunday Lunches are available on the second Sunday of each month. It is
advisable to book because the room can be quite full.
To compliment the
sailing activities the club aims to provide entertainment for members and
guests. The members of the Entertainment Committee look after the
arrangements working hard to provide suitably enjoyable events. Sometimes
though, because of financial constraints it is necessary to make charges
for entry. From time to time there are discos, and live entertainment.
There is the Annual Commodores Ball that is held at a prestigious venue
somewhere in the county.
During the first
quarter of the year the Tri-Club games nights are held, competing against
Neyland and Pembroke Haven Yacht Clubs.

Regular Events
- The Pool Team plays its league
fixtures, either home or away, on each Tuesday eveningduring
the winter months.
- The Quiz Teams compete on Sunday
evenings in their respective divisions within the winter league.
