SAIL TRAINING

Pembrokeshire Yacht club is a member of the Royal Yachting Association and is a Recognised Training Centre that offers Sail Training on Tuesday evenings from April through to September. The Tuesday night training is open for any children aged 8 and over and we also provide courses for adults on demand an weekends.

As a recognised training centre we are inspected on an annual basis by the RYA to ensure that not only our facilities, but also all of our equipment including safety boats, comply to their high standards.

Sail training is managed under the watchful eye of the Principal Christian Smart who not only ensures that you have learned something while on the water, but that you also come away with a big smile on your face! Along with Christian is a great team of local club sailors who volunteer their services in the hope building and maintaining a strong dinghy fleet at Pembrokeshire Yacht Club.

National Sailing Scheme - Levels 1 & 2
Young Sailors Scheme

We have a variety of dinghies that we use for training, including the most popular of them all, the Optimist & Topper sailing dinghies.
